Most adults don’t fail in English because of grammar. They fail because of communication. Here Are The 3 Ways to Improve Your Communication in English (as a Second Language): 1. Train for real life, not for textbooks. Stop memorizing rules you’ll never use. Rehearse interviews, meetings, presentations — the situations that actually matter. 2. Clarity beats perfection. Forget sounding “native.” Short sentences, simple words, one idea at a time — that’s what makes people trust you. 3. Fix your psychology. Your real enemy isn’t vocabulary, it’s fear. Confidence doesn’t mean “no mistakes.” It means trusting your voice even when it shakes. When you shift from studying English to using English, you stop sounding like a student and start sounding like a professional. You'll find the recording in my podcast section. I’m back on italki after a year abroad. After spending the last year abroad working in English education and teacher training, I am now back here with new experience, new insights, and a fresh perspective on how people actually learn languages successfully. While teaching students and training teachers, I saw some important patterns that I would like to share with you,, especially if you are at the A1–B1 level. 1. Many strong teachers avoid beginners. A lot of very good teachers prefer to work only with intermediate or advanced students because beginners feel slower and less excited. As a result, most A1–B1 learners study for years with less experienced teachers. This often slows progress, lowers quality, and leads to frustration or loss of motivation. 2. Many beginners choose only low-priced lessons. The idea is usually: “I’ll study cheaply now and book a professional teacher later.” In reality, this often creates weak foundations, confusion, and long-term plateaus. In my experience, most students who follow this approach struggle to reach B1–B2 for years, and many never get there. 3. Progress comes from commitment, not magic. Even the best teacher cannot help if learning is inconsistent. I once worked with a student who planned 85 hours for the year but completed only about 30 because of missed and rescheduled classes and unfinished homework. The result was confusion, low progress, and frustration, not because of ability, but because of a lack of routine and commitment. English is not learned by luck. It is learned by the right guidance, strong foundations, and regular practice.

Advertising invest every year a large amount of money in campaigns. Whether it is for TV, outdoor displays, online advertising or magazines, some brands are willing to pay a big budget. For example, perfume brands often show a famous movie star. From the idea to the production, advertising requires a lot of means. Many people are involved in the process of creating an ad. Therefore, it plays a huge role in the economy. Moreover, advertising not only creates desire in consumer's head, but also fulfills needs. The brands release new products over and over to respond to the demand and stir mind. In our modern society, consumption is a way to balance the mood. The act of buying is a pleasure and the advertising plays with this idea. You may feel happy to consume products thanks to the message of an ad, which is also very time-consuming. Thus, we can see that it can change the people's mind. With the increasing technology, advertising definitely seizes a large place in defining our modern society.
